We maintain a food pantry and distribute “baskets” to needy families in the community four times a year, in addition to those who periodically request food through the church office. We participate in the Interfaith Hospitality Network of Ocean County, which provides food and shelter to families who are temporarily homeless.

Our function is to assist the Presbyterian Church of Toms River, serving one night during their week in the hosting cycle. To assist the humanitarian programs of the ELCA, we conduct annual appeals for funds to support the World Hunger relief effort and the Rainbow of Caring, which provides tools and blankets to needy people throughout the world.
