The members and staff of Holy Cross Lutheran Church are very proud of the fine Sunday School classes we have for 10 months of the year from September through June. We invite children of 3 years old through 9th grade to hear Bible stories, say prayers, sing hymns and work on projects. During the school year 2010-2011, we meet from 9:15 to 10:30. We will be using Spark!, a new curriculum for children through sixth grade. Seventh grade and above will have their own curriculum which connects with the catechetic topics offered in the confirmation classes.

When the young children reach 2nd grade they receive special instructions leading up to a special service for their first Communion. When the students reach 7th grade they begin a 2 ½ year study period preparing them for the Rite of Confirmation. This is a very special time for the students as they take on new responsibilities as adult members of the church.

We are always looking for volunteers to help in the classrooms and we would appreciate very much any help that might be given.
